I was reading over the infamous MISSINGTOOF & came across the Justice video that was originally on Kanye West's Blog. I love how gangster this video is. I'm sure it will generate a ton of controversial hype for them, so good for them. I've seen them about 5 times now & must say they are worth the ticket price. I also have to agree that the song has always made me a little anxious, so the video is fitting. Can't believe the part where they walk up to someone & just carjack them. Take 10 deep breath's before & after you watch this.

$UPERFOX LIVE SET @ GLOBAL FRIDAYS AT ON BROADWAY MARCH 14TH 2008

Sorry this took so long to get loaded to the server & posted. The fact that I had a few issues with Quickbooks for my 2007 accounting did not speed up the process any. If you were not able to get in due to capacity I hope this mix gives you a little
taste of what I played that night. Right after the 1st song started the CDJ lost power then started back up on song one of the cd, luckily it was Justice-Phantom pt.2(soulwax remix) so I went with it. Since this was live I wanted to keep every imperfection like this to keep it more organic. If you were there and were able to get 1 of the 150 cds we tossed into the crowd, write me a message here, on facebook or myspace & let me know what you think. My partner in crime DJ ERIC JEROME played the warm up set right before me & handed me over a full dancefloor. Benny Benassi played an amazing set & is getting bigger & bigger in the san diego market. I still do not understand why none of the SD local publications have yet to write much of the growing San Diego electronic music scene. Sure we are not LA with the paparazzi and celebrities, Las Vegas w/the all nighters & tourists, San Francisco 'anything goes' warehouse parties, but the local electronic music scene in San Diego has grown rapidly over the years.
I love the music @ the casbah, beauty bar & like that airport lounge and U-31 have been bringing new fresh music in attempts to educate the the growing city, I just don't get how every downtown club that does take a chance & bring in world class talent almost never gets any love from press magazines, music magazines or local sd magazines. Not to worry, myself and the growing SD electronic crowd will soon get the recognition it deserves. Until next time, I hope you bloggers like the new mix!

This year was hands down one the best times I've ever had @ coachella. I have been 5 out of the past 7 years & like an idiot I missed the years Radiohead & Daft Punk played. This years list of who I had the chance to see is as followed

I felt bad for Peaches, her sound was down way too low so I left after 4 songs. Hot chip was fun but the tent was PACKED!!!
The Rapture has the best visuals, they looked stright out of a 60's music video(very Psychedelic). But JUSTICE played a damn good set! The way they laid 'we are friends' vocal over "Waters of Nazereth"-Erol Alkan mix was NUTZ!!!! I am also pretty sure both MSTRKRFT & David Guetta both played more than 1 Justice & Boys Noize tunes in their sets. LCD Soundsystem had the sahar tent going nutz as well with 'Tribulations'. I made it back alive but heard that there was 3 times the amount of people all weekend sunday night just to see RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE close out the show. Over all a great time that went by way too fast. I leave you with the new Justice track finding its way into my sets lately & a live video from the sahara tent

So after a late night with Matt (NIGHTMOVES) Waites & Ricky (LIARS CLUB) Haley, I had to muster up the energy to play the warm up set before TALL PAUL (UK). I always love playing @ on broadway because the staff & soundsystem are some of the best on the westcoast. Since i played the mainfloor the week before I wanted to make sure my sets were completely different yet equally effective. After I dropped Matt & Ricky off @ the airport so they could catch their flight up to San Francisco, I had just enough time to rush to a meeting, then grab some food. This was one of the 1st times i actually didn't even look at any music before my set, I usually @ least get my music in order, but i was able to pull it off. I have to say that last friday was probablly one of my funnest times I've ever had djing. The crowd was really into it & i was able to bring things down a bit with Erol's mix of 'I don't feel like dancing'. I susually don't play any minimal stuff, but Erol's mix was a perfect fit right into James Holden's mix of Nathan Fake to close out my set. I didn't realise until i listened to my set how much Daft Punk I used, but I can never play or listen to too much of the robot sound I've grown to love. No live sets will be recorded until March 2007, but check back for some $uperfox re-edits thoughout February. Oh, almost forgot, my side project STEREOTRONIX (eric jerome & myself) will be working on music this month & filming for our 1st music video:) we are kicking around some ideas & should have all filming done by March.

So I was able to get in touch with Ricky(liars club) and book him alongside NIGHTMOVES(kitsune) for their 1st San Diego performance. They will be playing along side residents Groy & Theron @ confidential's non-stop thursday nite. I have been playing the brillant NIGHTMOVES mix of MYLO's work on the FREEFORMFIVE tune you will find in my December 2006 chart. I will be playing with TALL PAUL(UK) @ on broadway this friday February 2nd @ 930-1130pm & recording another set that should include come new YUKSEK, FELIX CARTEL & a possible BOOKASHADE tune. Once my programmer gets my server up & running I will have all the mixes on this blogsite up & running. So, I've managed to get past being sick & my heachaches that I had everyday for over a week. I was healthy enough to get my shit together & dj @ broadway befor DJ DAN. I saw Dan @ my 1st rave in San Diego, circa 2000. Dan is ranked the #5 dj in the world & the #1 dj in the US, of course he did not disappoint He came on after me & his good friend DONALD GLAUDE decided to jump on stage & become Dan's MC/Hype man. So i have been a little under the weather this past week, but i have managed to get the editing done both parts of my NYE LIVE set. I have been on antibiotics & cough syrup w/codine. To some people that may sound like a the ingredients of a good night out, but not for me:( I took my dose of dayquil & pushed myself to go out last Thursday to DOS TRES @ MODUS, a new night my friends Lee, Alex, Morgan & Barry just started to see CLAUDE VONSTROKE(dirtybird redcords). It was my 1st time @ the venue & i loved it:) It's another venue that has taken on the new trend....NOT SERVING ANY ENERGY DRINKS. The place was pretty packed with people who were music lovers & many local SD dj's who are in the know about his music. I will post some funny pix from the night once Megan emails me the pix to post. so I did this re-edit of a wicked Duke Dumont remix of the Mekon-YesYesYall track. Gonna test it out this weekend @ on broadway 12/29/06 when I set the stage for Eddie Halliwell(radio 1). I also have a HUGE system to play on for NYE @ the Hilton (torrey pines) before Robbie Rivera. I will be recording both sets to post here for download in the next 2 weeks. Something i do not have a lot of, is time. So i hope this little re-edit makes you all warm & fuzzy inside untill i have time to post the live sets .......$

recently had the oppertunity to see HOT CHIP @ the casbah. the were AMAZING!!!!! i didn't have a chance to get tickets but i ran into alix(lead singer of hot chip) & he sorted este, krysi & I out to get into the show. a sunday night soldout show is always a good way to end your US tour....$

so this friday I have my official bday BLOWOUT party @ on broadway. i am setting up a usendit this week & will get posting with some old mixes and a few tunes that i cannot get out of my head. Ever find yourself only relating to music from the other side of the planet? Well, that's a frequent thing for me. I think este, atari, eric jerome, morgan, edgartronic, barry weaver, the get ugly dj crew and a few others actually know of the producers & bands i like as san diego isn't musically quite up to speed. I will be planning a educational session this friday when i record my set live:) sure it will include some justice, mr.oizo, erol alkan, surkin, yuksek, claude vonstoke, boys noize, tiga, and of course a few sterotronix remixes as well. Once i get more used to posting on here you will have some tunes available for download of what i am diggin'. so the $uperfox is finally on the blog world & will soon have others joining the arsenal...to be cotinued...$
